Nostr Onchain
21,000 sats · one-time · yours forever

Claim you@nostronchain.com

A NIP-05 verified identifier under nostronchain.com. Pay once on-chain, and any Nostr client will resolve your name to your public key from /.well-known/nostr.json. No account, no email, no database that can lose you.

21,000 sats one-time · non-refundable · non-transferable

Payment goes to the store's taproot address (same address the Pocket Signer preorder uses). We correlate your payment to your name via the transaction id in a signed claim event.

Registry not fully configured yet — the operator must set STORE_NPUB and attach a Vercel KV database before names can be provisioned. Availability checks may fail.

Claim your identifier

1

Pick a name

3–32 characters. Letters, digits, hyphen, underscore. Must start alphanumeric. Reserved names (admin, satoshi, product names, etc.) can't be claimed.

@nostronchain.com
2

Login with your Nostr key

Your npub is bound to the name. One name per key — pick carefully. Losing access to your key means losing the identifier; there is no recovery.

3

Pay 21,000 sats on-chain

Send from any wallet. We watch mempool.space for your payment and provision the moment it confirms (1 block, ~10 min).

Waiting for payment…
4

Sign the claim & provision

After the block confirms, you sign a claim event tying your pubkey to the name and the payment txid. That event is what our server verifies before adding you to /.well-known/nostr.json.

FAQ

Why 21,000 sats?

It's a meme, and it's enough friction to deter squatters without being meaningful money for anyone real. One-time — no annual renewal, no invoice to lose.

What if I lose my Nostr key?

You lose the identifier. There is no recovery, no operator override, no reset. Guard your key.

Can I transfer my name to someone else?

No. The name is bound to your public key at purchase time and cannot be moved. If you want to hand off, sell your key.

Can I get a refund?

Not once the name is provisioned. If the payment confirms but the claim step fails (bug, disconnect), your txid can still be used later — the server won't accept a different name on the same txid, so save it.

Where's the registry code?

Under api/nip05/ in this repo. Public snapshot at /data/nip05-snapshot.json.
